Armored Wyrm

The air fizzled as the monster spawn started ‘3-D’ printing the wyrm into reality. The bones materialized steadily. Printing the monster might have been a pretty weird way to describe it, but there was just something uncanny about the resemblance. Maybe comparing things to Earth's technology was the only way I could comprehend Gaea's extreme magic.

A bright green and black flame flared to life deep inside the wyrm's armored skull. This new creature was identical to the one I battled earlier. The only difference was the heavy steel armor lining its body. The heavy chunks of armor were just like Reinhardt's—they were broken and chipped, and some pieces were even missing.

Despite the creature's tarnished state, I couldn't help but smile as I anticipated the battle and aftermath. The heavy armor meant this was a creature I could probably reanimate, and that brought me to yet another problem. If I did reanimate it, all hell would break out.

Boris noticed my clenched fists.

“Hah! The little man is eager to start fighting!”

I did my best to give him a wolfish grin. The more he thought that I was a warmonger, the better it was for me. If that doubt would even give me a single second during a crucial moment, it could mean the difference between life and death.

The notification appeared as soon as the wyrm finished forming.
